Skypole Window Cleaning (“Skypole”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through skypole.ca, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the details you submit — typically your name, email address, phone number, property address and any message or job details you provide.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we collect basic analytics such as pages visited, referring site, approximate region, browser and device type. This is used in aggregate to understand and improve the site.
How we use your information
- To respond to your quote request or enquiry and provide our services;
- To schedule work and communicate with you about your job;
- To operate, secure and improve our website;
- To meet legal, tax and insurance obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising to you.
Service providers we share with
We share the minimum necessary information with trusted providers who help us run the site and respond to leads. Each processes data under its own privacy terms:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, email delivery of your enquiry, and the “Turnstile” anti-spam check on our forms.
- Basecamp (37signals) — we create an internal task from your enquiry so our team can follow up.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate website analytics (sets cookies; see below).
- Ahrefs Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics.
Cookies & analytics
Google Analytics may set cookies to measure site usage; you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension to opt out of Google Analytics. Ahrefs Analytics does not use cookies. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam without tracking you across sites.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer information only as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting and insurance requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Aggregate analytics are retained per the analytics providers’ standard retention periods.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it, subject to legal exceptions. To make a request, or if you have any privacy question, contact us and we’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
