Our work at McMaster University
Location: Hedden Hall, McMaster University, 1280 Main Street West, Hamilton, Ontario L8S 4K1.

Skypole recently completed exterior window cleaning at Hedden Hall, a five-storey student residence located in McMaster University’s North Quad. McMaster University is a valued long-term commercial client, and our team is proud to continue helping maintain its campus buildings.
Challenges
The project included windows across multiple elevations, with several upper-storey sections requiring specialised access. Mature trees, dense landscaping, sloped ground and limited working space around parts of the residence created additional challenges.
Because this work took place on an active university campus, our team also had to carefully manage hoses, equipment and pedestrian areas while minimising disruption to students, staff and campus operations.
Our Approach
We used professional water-fed pole equipment and purified water to safely reach and clean the exterior glass from ground level. Multiple technicians worked across the building’s different elevations, allowing the project to progress efficiently while maintaining careful control of the surrounding work areas.
Results
The exterior windows were thoroughly cleaned, removing accumulated dirt, dust and environmental buildup. The purified-water system left the glass with a clean, clear and streak-free finish, improving the overall appearance of Hedden Hall.
This project demonstrates Skypole’s experience in managing large-scale commercial window cleaning for universities, schools, student residences, and institutional facilities throughout Hamilton, Toronto, and the Greater Toronto Area.
