Exterior Window Cleaning at Moulton Hall, McMaster University in Hamilton

SKYPOLE recently completed another exterior window cleaning project at Moulton Hall on the McMaster University campus in Hamilton, Ontario.

Located in McMaster’s West Quad, Moulton Hall is a co-ed student residence that houses approximately 234 students. The building includes common rooms on each floor, along with study areas, laundry facilities and other shared spaces that make it an active part of student life on campus.

The Challenge

Cleaning the exterior windows of an occupied university residence requires more than simply cleaning glass.

Moulton Hall has multiple levels of windows, varying access points and busy pedestrian areas surrounding the building. Working on an active university campus also means our crew must stay aware of students, staff, and other people moving around the property throughout the day.

Access, safety, and efficiency were therefore key parts of the plan. Our team needed to reach the exterior glass safely while keeping disruption around the residence and surrounding campus areas to a minimum.

How SKYPOLE Completed the Work

Our experienced exterior window cleaning team used professional commercial window cleaning equipment and access methods suited to the different elevations and areas of Moulton Hall.

By working methodically around the building, we safely cleaned the exterior windows while maintaining control of our work areas and keeping the project moving efficiently.

The result was cleaner exterior glass throughout the residence and a noticeably improved appearance to the building.
