Our work at City of Vaughan
Commercial Window and façade Cleaning

SKYPOLE recently completed a large-scale exterior façade and window cleaning project at Vaughan City Hall, continuing our ongoing relationship with the City of Vaughan and helping maintain one of the city’s most architecturally striking municipal buildings.
This project included detailed exterior cleaning of the building façade panels, architectural fins, elevated cladding surfaces, and exterior window cleaning throughout multiple elevations of the property. The modern design of Vaughan City Hall presents unique access and maintenance challenges due to its suspended overhangs, recessed glass sections, narrow access points, and expansive vertical surfaces.
Challenges of the Project
This project required careful planning and specialised access equipment to safely clean both the exterior windows and architectural exterior surfaces while working around an active public municipal facility.
Some of the primary challenges included:
- Accessing elevated exterior windows and façade sections safely
- Navigating around deep architectural fins and overhangs
- Operating boom lifts within confined public access areas
- Maintaining pedestrian safety during daytime operations
- Preventing spotting and streaking on large glass surfaces in direct sunlight
- Cleaning sensitive exterior cladding materials using low-pressure methods
- Managing hose lines and equipment around active city operations and public walkways
The combination of modern glass, textured cladding, and difficult-to-reach elevations required a customised approach for each section of the building.
How SKYPOLE Successfully Completed the Work
Using a combination of aerial-lift access, purified-water-fed pole systems, and controlled soft-washing techniques, the SKYPOLE team safely and efficiently restored the appearance of the building’s exterior surfaces and windows.
Our crew carefully established controlled work zones using cones and safety barriers to ensure safe public access throughout the project. Elevated sections were accessed using boom lifts operated by trained personnel, while long-reach, water-fed equipment enabled safe and effective cleaning of difficult-to-access glass and façade areas.
The exterior windows were cleaned to remove environmental buildup, water spotting, and surface contaminants, while the architectural panels and fins were treated with specialised low-pressure cleaning methods designed to protect the integrity of the building materials.
The finished result restored the clean modern appearance of Vaughan City Hall while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and minimal disruption to daily operations.
The City of Vaughan remains pleased with the professionalism, safety standards, and quality workmanship that SKYPOLE brings to each municipal project, and we appreciate the continued trust placed in our team for complex exterior cleaning work throughout the GTA.
