SKYPOLE completed professional exterior window cleaning and sign cleaning at the McMaster University Health Sciences Campus in Hamilton, Ontario. This important educational and healthcare facility required a careful cleaning approach to improve the building’s appearance while minimising disruption to students, faculty, staff, patients and visitors.
Project Scope
The work included:
- Exterior window cleaning throughout the designated areas of the campus
- Cleaning of exterior building signs and lettering
- Removal of accumulated dirt, dust, water spots and environmental residue
- Careful cleaning around entrances and other active pedestrian areas
The Challenge
Busy university and healthcare facilities present several challenges for exterior cleaning. Constant pedestrian activity, limited access around entrances and varying window heights require thoughtful planning and close attention to safety.
Exterior signs can also collect airborne dirt and organic buildup, gradually making the lettering appear dull and less visible. SKYPOLE coordinated the work to keep equipment and cleaning operations organised around the active campus environment.
SKYPOLE’s Cleaning Approach
Our team used professional exterior window-cleaning methods suited to the building’s access requirements. Where appropriate, we used water-fed pole equipment and purified water to clean elevated glass safely from ground level, leaving the windows clean without soap residue or visible streaks.
The team carefully cleaned the exterior signs and lettering to remove surface buildup and restore a brighter, more professional appearance without damaging the sign materials.
Successful Results
The completed work noticeably improved the appearance of the windows and exterior signage. Clean glass allowed more natural light into the building, while the refreshed signs made the campus entrances and exterior areas look cleaner and better maintained.
SKYPOLE successfully completed the project while respecting the operational needs of this active university and healthcare environment.
